One of our most requested reports is the Avoided CO₂ Emissions Report (*), which provides clients with a clear overview of the environmental benefits achieved by extending the lifecycle of their IT assets. For each fiscal year, the report provides insights by asset category — including notebooks, desktops, servers and components — showing the total volumes reused or redeployed versus assets sent for final disposition, together with the associated estimated avoided CO₂ emissions.

(*) The avoided CO₂ emissions calculation is based on a model developed by the Technical University of Berlin (“Energie- und CO₂-Bilanz von PCs – Relevanz für Reuse-Strategien”, 2005) and a preparatory European study (TREN/D1/40-2005, Lot 3, 2007). The methodology considers environmental impacts associated with production, distribution, operation, refurbishment, transportation and recycling. The calculation methodology was independently reviewed against applicable standards in 2023.
